      <image:caption>Kaitlin Fontana is an Emmy-nominated TV and film writer, director, and producer, and a National Magazine award-winning essayist. In a past life, she was a music journalist. She was the host of the WGAE's podcast OnWriting for seasons 4-6. Kaitlin is an alum of the 2024 Sundance Feature Development Lab, and her script IS THIS YOU is both a 2025 Frontiéres Market Official Selection and on the 2024 Black List. Her first Black List script, GIRLFRIEND ON MARS, is in development with Party Over Here. Kaitlin’s short film IDLE/WILD was a Daily Pick at Film Shortage and her directorial debut, FRANCHESCA, was an official Sundance Film Festival selection. She is the writer and a producer of the true crime-meets-punk podcast PETER AND THE ACID KING, which was named a Best Podcast of 2023 by Vulture. She is a NYTVF Development Deal recipient (Audible) and a finalist in the HBOAccess Directing Fellowship. Kaitlin is a WriteHer List Honoree, an inaugural WGA/Made in New York Writers Room Fellow, Showtime Tony Cox Award winner, Nantucket Comedy Colonist, and Bitch List Honoree. She was a Field Producer on Full Frontal with Samantha Bee. Kaitlin splits her time between California and British Columbia. She was born in Fernie, BC, a distinction she shares with Rush guitarist Alex Lifeson.</image:caption>
